Mono Threads
Smooth Mono Threads from industry leading brands like MINT™ and Super Screw Threads by Miracu are thin, PDO (Polydioxanone) threads used in non-surgical aesthetic treatments. These threads are designed to be inserted into the skin to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture and elasticity.
Differences from Barbed, Lifting Threads
- Mono Threads:
- Smooth Mono Threads do not have barbs. They are primarily used for collagen stimulation and improving skin quality.
- Super screw threads also do not have barbs. They have a spiral or screw-like shape, which allows them to provide more volume and lift compared to smooth mono threads. They are designed to enhance facial contours and achieve a subtle lifting effect by creating a scaffold that supports the skin and stimulates collagen production.
- Barbed, Lifting Threads: These threads have tiny barbs or hooks that latch onto the skin tissue and fat pads, providing a profound lifting and tightening of the skin, similar to a face lift, neck lift or brow lift without having to undergo surgery. They are used for more significant lifting and contouring of the skin.
